| The small Scottish town of Shotts almost marks the half way point between Glasgow and Edinburgh, and has had 2 greyhound tracks in the past. The second one to open was located at Dykehead at the Shotts Stadium and situated at 3° 48' W 55° 49' N. When the Gasworks Park Stadium closed on 11th March 1939 it was less than a week before the new track opened on 17th March 1939. Racing continued at this popular venue until 1962. |
